Writer, Correspondent
Diego Senior is a Writer and News Correspondent in New York City reporting for various Latin American News Organizations. He currently works with Colombia’s Caracol Radio and collaborates for other news radio networks in Chile (ADN Radio), Argentina (Radio Cooperativa), México (W Radio), Costa Rica (W Radio CR) and Spain (Cadena SER).
Diego has been featured regularly as a commentator on Univision’s Sunday news talk show “Al Punto” with Jorge Ramos, and has also worked as a collaborator on several important research pieces for Colombian print publications like SoHo magazine and El Colombiano newspaper.
His work includes coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, various Latin American Presidential visits to Washington D.C., and five United Nations General Assemblies in New York City. During these events, Senior has interviewed numerous political figures including Hugo Chávez, Henry Kissinger, and Bill Clinton.
In 2010, Senior directed a documentary about the issues confronting female sex workers in Hong Kong. This production, “Sex Work is Work,” was produced in collaboration with Zi Teng, a non-profit local organization that now uses the documentary throughout Asia at presentations and conferences on Human Rights.
Diego is currently completing his Graduate Degree at The New School’s Graduate Program in International Affairs in New York City, and has been collaborating with Mediagroup’s “Searching for Tanja” project – a documentary exploration of the history of the social revolutionary movement – in his native Colombia.
