Quarter Mile is a full length… full throttle… drag racing documentary.
It is a journey ‘in conversation’ with some of the greatest living racers of all time… from the early days of illegal street racing… to the high tech, high stakes professional racing that we know today.
Superstars like Don Garlits, Don Prudhomme, Shirley Muldowney, Connie Kalitta, TV Tommy Ivo, and John Force… just to name a few… will take us behind the action so that we might learn what they were thinking… what they were feeling… and what on earth they thought they were trying to do.
Their stories are personal… often funny… sometimes intense… but always the truth as they saw it… and as they continue to see it today.
And with unprecedented access to more than fifty years of historic photo and film archives… some of it never before seen… we will not only hear the thoughts of the racers, but be there to witness many of the events that they describe.
We’ll see racing as a ‘Science…’ and an ‘Art.’ As a ‘Business…’ and a ‘Sport.’ But first and foremost, as the spectacular expression of the American Spirit that it was… and continues to be.
